What dubby is

dubby is a self-hosted media server. You install it on your own hardware, and it streams your media to your devices. Your library, your playback data, your watch history — all of it lives on your machine, not ours.

What we collect on dubby.tv

This website (dubby.tv) collects minimal data:

What we don't collect

No tracking pixels. No ad networks. No third-party analytics beyond Vercel. We don't sell, share, or monetize your data in any way.

Self-hosted instances

dubby runs on your hardware. Your library data, watch history, and playback activity stay on your machine. dubby connects to external services like TMDB and TVDb to fetch metadata for your library — you can control this through the privacy settings.

dubby collects anonymous telemetry to help us improve the product — things like error rates, performance metrics, feature usage, and streaming and ingest analytics. No personal data or library contents are included. You can opt out of telemetry entirely in the settings.

Cookies

This website uses only the minimal cookies required by Vercel Analytics. No advertising cookies, no cross-site tracking.
